SIPL General Rules
General Rules
- Pullers should be at each event 30 minutes prior to posted starting time.
- Puller position must be drawn at the event
- Intoxicated drivers will not be able to pull. Directors will make this determination
- No unauthorized persons to be on the track during the pull
- All drawbars are to be measured at every event (20″ maximum)
- Tractors may only pull once per class
- If the tractor is not ready to pull when the sled returns to the starting line that tractor will be disqualified. Directors will have discretion if the circumstances should result in disqualification
- The first puller in each class will have the option to rehook 6th or last in the class
- All tractors will have the option to restart if they attempt to stop before 100 feet. If a puller speeds or intentionally increases speed they will be disqualified and receive no points for that event.
- If the speed board is present you may not go over the speed limit at any point during the pull
- If the first puller goes over the speed limit they do not have the option to rehook.
- Weights or any part of the tractor of the tractor that may fall off during the pull will result in disqualification.
- Disobeying the flagman will result in disqualification
- Excessive fluid loss will result in a red flag
- If a tractor touches the chalk line they will be disqualified
- Any tractor operated in a unsafe manner before and/or during the pull will be disqualified
- No riders allowed on or off the track
- Any attempt to violate club posted rules will result in suspension. Suspensions will be at the directors discretion
- SIPL will reserve the right to change, correct, erase or add any safety rules that may become necessary in the middle of the pulling season
- Any new puller is allowed to pull one time before certification is required
- The directors are to function as a committee. It is the responsibility of the directors to enforce class rules. All competitors must cooperate with the directors. Failure to cooperate will result in suspension.
- Directors are to handle all protest and rule violations
- Protest fee is $500. The protest must be brought to the attention of the directors before the start of the class. All protest will be handled at that Event
- It is the discretion of the directors whether a competitor will be suspended.
